LedgerDrop · a DoUrWork tool
Your bank statement,
in Excel. Nothing uploaded.
Work sucks — re-typing your statement shouldn't. Drop a PDF, get clean rows for Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks. Every row is re-verified against the statement's own running balance — if something doesn't add up, we flag it instead of handing you wrong data.
100% on-device — your file never leaves this tabHow it works
Three steps, zero servers.
Drop the PDF
The file opens inside this page. Nothing travels anywhere — turn off your wifi and it still works.
We extract the table
Dates, descriptions, debits, credits and balances become rows you can inspect before exporting.
We prove the math
The running balance is re-verified line by line and checked against opening and closing totals. Mismatches get flagged, not hidden.
Why private matters here
The most sensitive file
you own shouldn't be uploaded.
Every other converter asks you to upload your statement to their server — account numbers, balances, every purchase. Ours can't, because there is no server.
Silent errors are the industry's dirty secret. Most tools hand you a spreadsheet and hope. We reconcile every row against the statement's own balance and tell you what checked out.
Nothing is stored. Close the tab and the file is gone — it was never anywhere else.
Fair questions.
Is it really free?
Yes — free for everyday use while we're in beta. Since nothing runs on a server, it costs us nothing when you convert. Batch history and an API are planned as the paid tier later.
How is this private? Don't you need my file?
The conversion engine (PDF.js) runs inside your browser tab on your device. Your statement is never transmitted — you can verify it in your browser's network inspector, or just load the page and go offline.
What formats can I export?
Excel (.xlsx), CSV with separate debit/credit/balance columns, and a QuickBooks-style CSV with signed amounts ready to import.
Which banks does it work with?
Most banks that give you a text-based PDF statement — single or multi-page, with separate debit/credit columns or a signed amount column. If a row can't be verified against the running balance it's highlighted so you can check it.
My statement is a scan or photo — will it work?
Not yet. Scanned PDFs contain images, not text, so they need OCR — that's on the roadmap. If your bank offers a text-based e-statement, use that.
Should I trust the output blindly?
Spot-check a few rows before filing or importing — that advice applies to every converter, ours just shows you the verification work instead of asking for blind faith.
